Green Tea Matcha Cookie Recipe

When you can't sleep at 1am what do you do?

well since I'm wide awake why not bake...

Green tea matcha cookies of course....
(plus I'm very eager to use my Miffy cookie mould)

So here's how it turned out....

All ready to go in the oven 150'C for 15mins

Voila' cooled and ready to eat.

I've never been a huge fan of green tea flavor but recent years it has become more and more popular.
But I gotta say green tea is a taste you need to get use to  and when it does, you'll love it.

Green Tea Matcha Cookie Recipe

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 125g Room Temperature unsalted Butter
  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar or (can use Stevia for a healthier option)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 beaten egg (room temperature)
  • 1 & 1/2 table spoon of green tea matcha powder (I used one from Japan, i find it is a better taste and quality)

  1. Preheat oven to 150'C (mine is fan forced oven)
  2. Line baking trays with baking paper
  3. Using an electric mixer beat the butter and the sugar until light yellow creamy colour
  4. while it is still beating add vanilla extract and beaten egg until well combined.
  5. turn mixer off.
  6. mix green tea matcha powder with flour and sift into butter mixture
  7. use a spatula to mix in well using a fold and cut motion until crumbly
  8. then add milk and mix more until well combined
  9. at this stage using clean hands, mould mixture into a dough
  10. roll out a portion of the dough at a time to the thickness you want your cookie to be (mine was about 2mm thick)
  11. and use desired cookie cutter
  12. remember to keep the other portion of the dough wrapped in cling wrap to prevent it from drying out.
  13. bake for about 15 mins more or less depending on the thickness, you can tell, slightly lift the cookie , if the bottom is turning a little bit brown, it is ready to be taken out and placed on a cooling rack.

Once cooled it is ready to eat.
Bon Apetite

Car Tinting nightmare

This has got to be the worst car tinting job I have ever experienced
the guy was recommended but a reputable Repco Sales Manager and he was nice enough to do it on a public holiday without extra charge-

He is a mobile car tinter, the tinting took about 3 hours and when I drove off i had found he had tinted a mosquito on my drivers side. I called him u and i drove back and he pulled the tint back and redone it. then I asked him about all the other bubbles he said it was normal and they were just water bubbles and it should dry out.

Today 5th march 2015 is day 3 and the bubbles have not dried out it is not water it is simply sand/dust and hair, I message him and he said I had to wait 1 month for it to fully settle.

What can I do?
I really regret going to him.
I chose convenience over mainstream.
For everyone out there do not make the same mistake as I have.

Hair stuck in tint

These little bubbles are all over the windows. I am one unsatisfied customer.
the only thing I can do now is wait 1 month

thoughts

3 more months until Winter time is here

A lot has happened this past year, good and bad but mostly bad, people are faced with hurdles in life and it is a decision we must make whether to go around, under or over them. With out the support of family and friends this probably would turn out to be a different story, so lets hope 2014 is a better year ahead.

I choose this year to relax step back and try look through life in a different perspective, as one said i am too naive in life and always take things for granted....
maybe Im right and maybe Im wrong but i give this thought a year to show its colours to me.

and this is the time where it is too cold, too wet, cant be bothered and just too damn blugh to go out , so usually this is the time to talk  to friends, stay home, snuggle cuddle and keep warm of a nice cup of coffee, tea or cocoa and sit back watch movies or just chill and reminisce of thoughts, events, stages and the next chapter in life. time to think about the past, present and future,

Nao Japanese Ramen

Lunch @ Nao Japanese Ramen

OMG I cannot believe how delicious this dish was. I cant believe it took me this long to actually go to this shop,

Miso Base with Extra pork rib spinach noodle.

This is my first choice and can you believe it, it was so nice I dragged my sister to have it again the very next day.

Making fresh Ramen

I will definitely be back to this place.
